Junglee Pictures does it yet again with Badhaai Do, a franchise of Badhaai Ho. The makers of the film have brought the powerhouse actors Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar together on the big screen for the first time and it would be very safe to say that it is going to be one of the most loved pairs, as we can already see from their chemistry in the trailer.
It was yesterday that the makers of Badhaai Do revealed the first look and the motion poster of their lead pair Rajkummar and Bhumi which created a lot of intrigue with the audiences, and with the trailer dropping today, all that wait was worth it!
Badhaai Do promises the same comical ride of finding humour in unexpected places as Badhaai Ho. While Badhaai Ho told us what hilarious situations a middle-aged couple’s love could lead to, Badhaai Do seems to be addressing another such unusual relationship and tell their story through comedy of error situations. Of course, where there is marriage and comedy, there is a baby.
The trailer revolves around a marital setting between Rajkummar and Bhumi, only to know that there are a lot of secrets between these two to unfold. Getting into a marriage of convenience and living as roommates, is what leads to humorous situations between the pair, making this one a perfect family entertainer. It is not only high on comedy and emotions, but this family drama also deals with a socially relevant subject, that we got a glimpse of in the trailer. While not much has been revealed, the topic of the film subtly highlights the concept of “lavender marriage” making it a must watch.

The movie directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, is one of the most eagerly awaited family entertainers releasing this year in cinemas. Besides Rajkummar and Bhumi, the family entertainer also boasts of an ensemble cast featuring talented actors like Seema Pahwa, Sheeba Chadha, Chum Darang, Lovleen Mishra, Nitish Pandey and Shashi Bhushan amongst others essaying pivotal roles & taking the narrative ahead.
With Zee Music as it’s music label, the film also offers some foot-tapping chartbusters, which could be witnessed with songs in the trailer that are composed by Amit Trivedi, Tanishk Bagchi, Ankit Tiwari & Khamosh Shah. Amazon Prime Video today unveiled the intriguing trailer of the much-awaited Amazon Original movie, Gehraiyaan. Directed by the very talented Shakun Batra, Gehraiyaan is a relationship drama that looks beneath the surface of complex modern relationships, adulting, letting go and taking control of ones’ life path. The film features Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday in the lead along with Dhairya Karwa, Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapur in pivotal roles.

The Marvel Gods called on the power of Egyptian Moon god Khonshu and chose the first full moon to reveal the first trailer of one of their most unique projects in recent times, Moon Knight. Been in talks for more than a year, the show went on floors last year with Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke taking the lead positions. Turns out the wait is finally over, the trailer is out and guess what, even the release date has been announced for the same.
If you are unaware, Marvel announced Moon Knight in 2020 and fans were instantly hooked to any update about the same. Soon entered Oscar Isaac as the titular character, followed by Ethan Hawke as the antagonist. The show went on floors and some BTS still upped our excitement. The trailer of ‘Unpaused: Naya Safar’, an anthology of five short films that highlight stories of hope amid Covid, was released on Saturday.
The anthology features five stories: ‘Teen Tigada’ directed by Ruchir Arun; ‘The Couple’ by Nupur Asthana; ‘Gond Ke Laddu’ by Shikha Makan; ‘War Room’ by Ayappa KM; and ‘Vaikunth’ by Nagraj Manjule of ‘Sairat’ fame. Each showcases the emotions of hope, positivity and forgiveness playing out as the pandemic rages.
Talking about the anthology and his film ‘Teen Tigada’, Ruchir Arun, said: “‘Unpaused: Naya Safar’ anthology boasts of compelling narratives, showcasing a multitude of emotions and we’re really excited to bring our film as part of this anthology. With ‘Teen Tigada’, our effort was to highlight the threshold of human emotions, amidst the tribulations of an ongoing pandemic which hit us like a storm. This film has a unique narrative, beautifully translated on screen by the actors and we hope it will resonate strongly with the masses as well.”
Director Nupur Asthana spoke about her narrative choice saying: “Layoffs were a glaring reality of the pandemic that hit professionals very hard the world over, leaving them uncertain and demotivated.”
Commenting on her film’s core theme, she said: “‘The Couple’ captures the emotional upheaval and complexities caused by such a professional setback and how it impacts personal relationships between two people, altering their realities. The first edition of the anthology beautifully struck a chord with the audience, and we hope now Unpaused Naya Safar will, am sure, open to similar love and appreciation.”
Reflecting on the impact of Covid pandemic, director Shikha Makan said: “The pandemic has affected one and all in ways that are unexpected and uncalled for. We all worry for our loved ones living far away and look for means to connect and care for them even from a distance. And sometimes we find connections with strangers too.”
Shedding light on her film’s idea, she said: “The idea of ‘Gond Ke Laddu’ was to showcase the spectrum of human bonds, but with a twist. It was an enriching experience to shoot this film with an amazing cast and crew who breathed life into this subtle yet substantial narrative. We’re sure the story will connect with the audiences at an emotional level.”
Director Ayappa KM, whose film ‘War Room’ captures the reality of frontline workers, said: “‘War Room’ showcases the vulnerability of frontline workers who encountered unfavorable situations during the outbreak of the pandemic. This is a gripping story that unravels a different facet of human emotion in duress and I owe it to the entire team for bringing it alive so beautifully.”
Vaikunth director Nagraj Manjule, said: “‘Unpaused: Naya Safar’ anthology reflects on a range of emotions with each of its films, and Vaikunth adds on to this with a unique balance of gloom and hope, peppered with unpredictability. We, as a team are humbled and honored to bring this story as part of this anthology and we hope that it stays with the audience for a long time.”
Starring an ensemble cast of Saqib Saleem, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Neena Kulkarni and Priyanshu Painyuli, ‘Unpaused: Naya Safar’, will be available to stream on Prime Video from January 21.

The theatrical trailer of Naga Chaitanya and Nagarjuna starrer Bangarraju is out now. The trailer gives a glimpse at the supernatural elements in the movie.
Earlier the musical night event was held in Hyderabad as the father-son duo sounded confident about the movie’s success.
The makers of Bangarraju took to their social media to release the theatrical trailer of the much-awaited Sankranti release. Starring Akkineni Nagarjuna and his son Naga Chaitanya in the lead roles, the trailer seems apt for the festival release.
Bangarraju introduces Naga Chaitanya as the playboy of the village, Ramya Krishna and Nagarjuna play his parents. They seem to have passed away, but watch their son from heaven, protecting him from a few problems.
A few other aspects from the Kalyan Krishna’s directorial are revealed in the trailer, as heroine Krithi Shetty is introduced in a village-belle avatar.
On the other hand, the supernatural elements take the viewers into a serious mode, as actor Naga Babu is introduced as the Yama Dharma Raja, while the rest of the Bangarraju trailer gives glimpses of things related to God.
Zee Studios and Annapurna Studios Pvt Ltd have jointly produced the film, which is slated for release on January 14.
Touted to be the sequel to Nagarjuna-starrer ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’, which was released on Sankranthi, Bangarraju is expected to become a hit too.

Actor Shefali Shah, who is playing the lead character of Dr Gauri Nath, in the series said, “Human as a series is extremely relevant and relatable in today’s time. Actor Kirti Kulkarni, playing Dr Saira Sabarwal in the series said, “It has been an absolute pleasure and thrill to play the role of Dr Saira Sabharwal. It’s the first time that I am playing a doctor on screen, a world that I am not completely unfamiliar with as my sister and brother in law are doctors. I did get a lot of insight by speaking to both of them and other doctors. During that phase, I would get into a conversation with whichever doctor I met which could help me with my character. Apart from that, Human is such a layered and complex story, it immediately pulled me towards it. Also, the fact that Shefali Shah would be a part of the same show with me really excited me. She is someone I really look up to and I have truly enjoyed her work as an actor and I was thrilled to share screen space with her. The show also has other wonderful actors and I also met a psychologist to discuss some aspects of my character. I basically got into the mindsets and world of the doctors, speaking to various people and understanding various aspects of how they function in the workspace and outside of it. It’s the first time I am playing a doctor and it’s a thrilling experience, my fans too are going to really enjoy my role as Dr Saira Sabharwal. Super excited for Human.”
