Ayushmann Khurrana had an amazing year at the box office in 2019 and this year looks no different for him. The actor has a promising lineup of films that the audience is looking forward to see him in. One of the most anticipated projects amongst the many films that he is doing is Aanand L Rai’s Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan.
The film discusses a topic that is not touched much by other filmmakers. Director Hitesh Kewalya’s film deal with a gay relationship and seeing Ayushmann Khurrana romance Kota Factory’s Jitendra Kumar is surely going to be a treat. The makers gave a glimpse of it with the trailer that dropped today and we think you won’t be disappointed with what you see.
The 2 minute 41 seconds long trailer shows how Ayushmann and Jitendra’s characters fight to make Jeetu’s parents understand that gay relationships are okay and two men can love each other. While giving a hilarious gist of what’s to come ahead, the makers have entwined the perfect mix of witty one-liners that will leave you laughing off the floor. Good background music, very convincing characters and a taboo topic essayed in slice-of-life comedy format is what makes the trailer worth a watch!

Directed by Hitesh Kewalya, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, which was mainly shot in Varanasi, revolves around the issue of homosexuality. It also stars Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao, who earlier shared screen space with Ayushmann in the runaway hit Badhaai Ho.
The film will also witness Bhumi Pednekar in a special appearance. For the unversed, The Pati Patni Aur Woh actress was a part of the first instalment which garnered massive praises from the critics as well as the audiences.
Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is slated for a 21st February 2020 release.
